How much money did it cost the u.s.a to repair washington state during the eruption of mt. st. helen?

$1.1 billion for timber, civil works and agricultural losses. This does not include money for personal property losses, the cost of ash clean-up, or the loss of tourism in the area immediately after the eruption. Ash cleanup covered a number of different states, and in areas of heavy ash fall, vehicles were damaged as air filters clogged.
