Sorry, I didn't read the full text. If he is indeed depressed and you worry for him, write or call his Commanding Officer and let him know of your concerns. The last thing a CO wants or needs is a suicide in the battalion or squadron. Write or call and I promise you, the matter will be investigated and he will be sent to medical for screening.
