How to quietly kill an Alligator Gar?

Behind my house i got a Creek / Bayou behind my house with Gars in it, problem is i got neighbors. i know how to hunt them and what not its just once i get it in how could i quietly kill it, meaning no gunshots, explosives or anything loud. Personally i want to do it without getting too close...
